HS Girls Basketball: Results From Tues. 11-24

The first night of the new season took place for a majority of our KMCH area teams last night. In Manchester the Rod Conrad era of West Delaware Girls Basketball got underway with a 49-30 loss to 4A 14th-ranked Waverly-Shell Rock. The GoHawks jumped out in front quickly leading 7-0 then 18-3 at the first quarter break before a 30-7 halftime advantage. Coach Conrad talks about the tough start for his squad:

Haley Lyness and Kristen Wegmann led the Hawks offensively with 13 and 7 points respectively. WD will be off until next Tuesday when they travel for the first time, taking on Benton Community in Van Horne.
