Ilo Eileen Totman, 90, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. She was born on September 2, 1925, in Garber, the daughter of Aaron and Pearl (Hansel) Harbargh. Ilo attended rural schools in the Garber area.
On October 24, 1945, Ilo was united in marriage to George Totman at the Methodist Church in Manchester. Two children were born to this union. George passed away on September 4, 1971, at the age of 51. Ilo lived at Yankee Settlement for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards, especially 500.
Survivors include her two sons, Roland (Barb) Totman of Edgewood, and Richard (Nellie Harry) Totman of Strawberry Point; three grandchildren, Stacia (Greg) Zink of Des Moines, Shelby (Brad) Lamb of Cedar Rapids, and Wesley (Sarah) Totman of Dubuque; two great-grandchildren, Bia Zink and Abrina Totman; step-grandchildren, Chris Krapfl, Deb Krapfl, and Kayla Krapfl all of Manchester, Arron Lincoln of Minnesota, Tabitha Lambert of Missouri, and Megan Lincoln of Strawberry Point.
Ilo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; three sisters, Minnie Rentschler, Lula Phelps, and Helen Hansel; two brothers, Robert Harbaugh and Daniel Harbaugh; and a step-grandson, Travis Krapfl.
