West Delaware School Board Meeting Recap

West Delaware’s building project continues, with updates to the high school and middle school.

And Superintendent Dr. Kristen Rickey says they’ve gotten some good news as the cold temperatures settle in.

The West Delaware School Board is also working on plans for next school year. In the next couple months, they’ll be working on the calendar – but on Monday night, the board approved Programs & Studies for the high school, so students can start registering for next year’s courses.

West Delaware Middle School also has computer science courses and Lambert Elementary is starting to embed computer science content into their classwork as well.

And Rickey says the board also elected officers for the upcoming year, with the current President and Vice President staying the same.

And starting in January, the West Delaware School Board will move their meetings to a new location – the Middle School Media Center – with meetings continuing to stream live on Facebook.
