There’s a new addition to the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence. The center recently opened the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
The Wound Center features three patient exam rooms, along with two hyperbaric oxygen chambers for advanced wound healing and treatment. With wound care provided by Dr. Scott Houghton and Bethany Stevens, the Wound Center will provide patients with customized treatment plans. Services will include dressing changes, debridement, biological skin applications, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and negative wound therapy.
The Independence Chamber Ambassadors recently visited to the Buchanan County Health Center to present the new Wound Center with a congratulatory dollar to celebrate their opening.
The Wound Center will be open Mondays through Fridays from 8 to noon. For more information, contact the Wound Center at 319.332.0937 or visit www.bchealth.org.
