Area senior citizens got a chance to see the Christmas lights around Manchester Tuesday night. The City’s annual “Tour of Holiday Lights” brought out around sixty people, who boarded RTA buses to get a look at the decorations. Bob Clemen of Manchester told KMCH the displays seem to get better every year.
Manchester resident Joyce Schiel goes on the Tour of Lights every year.
The entire neighborhood on Keenan Court is filled with lights (the neighbors – pictured above – even greeted the buses last night)! Cody Poehnelt covers his entire house in lights on North 6th Street, and Jeff and Cheryl Madlom have a huge display at their home on East Howard Street. Madloms’ display even includes an archway with mistletoe! Madlom says their family has helped them put up the decorations for the past 25 years.
For the seniors on the tour, it was a fun night to reminisce about how they used to decorate for Christmas..
Check out a few of the decorated homes in the photos below! They are (in order) on East Howard Street, North 6th Street, Acres Street, Bailey Drive and Keenan Court!
