West Delaware Bowled against Cascade Friday night at Lightning Lanes. Both the Boys and Girls Varsity were victorious over the Cougars.
The WD boys posted a score of 3135 to Cascade’s 2578. West Delaware was led by Sophomore Trae Boge with a 491 series (254-237) followed by Jim Shover 428 series (206-222), Blaine Wilson 421 series (191-230), Caleb Lyons 394 series (194-200), Michael Cole 386 series (164-222) and Logan Marsden series 381 (170-211) was not used. In the baker round the hawk were very consistent with a 204,211,205,182, and 213 for a 1015. The hawks are now 4 – 2.
The WD girls increased their record to 6 – 0 with a win over Cascade by a score of 2659 to Cascade’s 1395. The girls were led by Senior Hope Mozingo with a great series of 416 (171-245) followed by Kaitlyn Werner 404 series (194-210), Andrea Salow 399 series (206-193), Chelsie Mangold 286 series (136-150), Tia Lindsay 276 series (149-127) and Miranda Axline 257 series (107-150) who’s score was not used. The girls bowled an 878 bakers round with scores of 136,144,184,224,190.
The JV Boys were also victorious with a solid score of 2831 to Cascade 1800. The JV was led by Freshman Ian Tibbott with a 443 series (237-206), followed by Jeff Boeckenstedt 398 series (244-154), Tristan Kelley 373 series (204-169), Mitchell Callan 370 series (190-180), Tanner Kelley 352 series (201-151) and Alex Schnieders 316 series (146-170) who score was not used. West Delaware JV girls did not compete as Cascade did not have a JV girls team.
The Varsity boys will compete at the Prairie Baker Tournament Sat Dec 19th and then start back after the first of the year with school competition on January 8th at Lighting Lanes against Bellevue.
