The Independence Ambassadors recently visited two new businesses in Independence to celebrate their openings.
First, the Ambassadors made a call to BE Music. Located at 112 2nd Ave NE, BE Music opened early this fall. Owned by Brian Elzey, he offers guitar, bass, banjo, and ukelele lessons, as well as needed accessories and used instruments. Gift Certificates to BE Music are now available and they can be redeemed for gear, accessories, lessons, or even repairs. Stop by and visit, or contact him at (319) 327-4691.
Afterwards, the Ambassadors made a call to The Wapsie CLAM (Creative Local Arts Market), a new locally produced, hand crafted, re-purposed consignment store located at 121 1st St NE in downtown Independence. The primary focus of The Wapsie CLAM is to encourage and promote locally grown and handcrafted items, and to provide a retail outlet for individuals and other small businesses that produce these types of items. If interested, one can contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org, call (319) 327-6896, or follow them on Facebook. They now offer gift certificates, just in time for the holiday season.
The Ambassadors were honored to be able to visit these wonderful new additions to Independence and present both businesses, BE Music and The Wapsie CLAM, with a congratulatory dollar celebrating their openings. If you know of a new business or a business that will be celebrating a business milestone, please call the Independence Area Chamber of Commerce at (319) 334-7178.
