Linn County Inmate Failed to Return to Jail

A court-ordered furlough inmate failed to return to the Linn County Jail. On Thursday, inmate Charles Patrick Hobert, Jr. failed to return to the Linn County Correctional Center after being released at 9:00am on a Court Ordered Furlough. 45 year old Charles Hobert failed to return at 5:00pm as scheduled. Hobert plead guilty to stalking (a Class D felony), two counts of forgery (Class D felonies), and harassment in the first degree. He was sentenced Wednesday to the Iowa Department of Corrections for an indeterminate term not to exceed five years. The sentences imposed were to be served concurrently with each other. In his sentencing order, he was granted a furlough from 9:00am to 5:00pm “to attend to his personal holiday matters.”
