Larry Wayne Hunt, 62, of Lamont, Iowa, passed away at his home on Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born on October 9, 1953, in Manchester the son of Merwin and Marie (Baumgartner) Hunt. Larry attended Earlville school until moving to rural Strawberry Point with his family at the age of 10. He then attended Starmont School.
In 1999, Larry was united in marriage to Malinda “Mo” Norte. Larry was employed by Davis Contracting in Delhi for many years. He was currently working for Michael Painting Interior Decorating & Design going on 37 years. Larry enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching drag racing, playing pool, and deer hunting. Most of all he loved spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Malinda “Mo” Hunt of Lamont; seven children, Angela (Rick) Ross of Strawberry Point, Matthew Norte, Joshua Hunt, Marty (Bobbi) Norte, all of Lamont, Jacklyn Hunt (Kade Druecker) of Arlington, Alisa Nelson of Winthrop, and Larry Hunt Jr, of Lamont; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four siblings, Linda (Mike) Moellers of Cedar Rapids, Bill Hunt of Strawberry Point, Debra (Jeff) Hughes of Oelwein, and Judy (Dennis) Bush of Oneida; his faithful food sharing buddy, Ace; and many wonderful friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters, Mechel Lee in infancy, and Lisa Marie.

Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m.. on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Officiating: Pastor Bruce Klett
Visitation: 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home on Thursday.
Private Family Burial: Cass Township Cemetery – Strawberry Point, Iowa.
