Greeley Couple Donates Cooler to Delaware County Food Bank

The Delaware County Food Bank has gotten some much-needed help from a Greeley couple. Food Bank Coordinator Doug Robbins says this past fall, the Food Bank put out a request for a cooler and their wish was granted.

The cooler allows the Food Bank to keep perishable items like meat, eggs and milk refrigerated while they are waiting to be picked up. Robbins says there is another piece of equipment they could really use right now.

The Delaware County Food Bank plays an important role in helping feed dozens of local families each month, so donations are always appreciated. Robbins says the community’s support during the busy holiday season was incredible.

You can help the Delaware County Food Bank by dropping off any non-perishable food or monetary donations. The Food Bank is open Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 2:30 in the basement of Roses in the Snow at the four-main intersection in downtown Manchester. And if you’re interested in fulfilling their request for a freezer, you can reach Doug at 920-8532.
