Tauke Motors has been named the Dyersville Chamber’s “Business of the Year”. The honor came during Wednesday night’s annual Chamber banquet in Petersburg. Mitch Tauke, along with Matt and Nate Tauke, accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the family business.
The four other nominees for “Business of the Year” were Plum Creek Archery, Prier Brothers, Theisen’s and JAM Systems/Midland Doors.
Retiring Dyersville Chamber Board President Karen Kramer of Kramer Funeral Home passed the gavel onto new Chamber Board President Pat Hogrefe of American Trust and Savings Bank during the business meeting portion of the event.
And the Chamber’s famous pig statue, which is randomly passed from business to business each year, was won by the Petersburg Community Center, who hosted the Chamber banquet. The Petersburg Community Center is required to display the pig in their business over the next year.
