HS State Bowling: WD Hawk Girls Place 2nd In 1A State Field

The West Delaware Hawk Girls Bowling team returned to the State Tournament yesterday for the second year in a row and came away with the third second place state finish in school program history. The Hawks finished 51 pins behind first place Camanche with a 2734 and 6 ahead of Charles City who placed third. Junior Miranda Axline placed fourth in the individual contest with a team high 426, sophomore Andrea Salow 391, senior Hope Mozingo 346, sophomore Tia Lindsay 332, senior Kaitlyn Werner 321 and senior Chelsie Mangold rolled a 295.

The Western Dubuque Girls will take part in the 2A state competition this morning at 10am inside the Plaza Lanes in Des Moines.
