Area Wrestlers Compete In State AAU Tournament

20 wrestlers from the Delaware County Wrestling Club in 3rd through 8th grade who finished in the top four at their district meets will head to Des Moines this weekend for the 2016 AAU state wrestling tournament. The two day tournament takes place Saturday and Sunday and is held in the Wells Fargo Arena, the same venue that just hosted the high school state tournament one week ago. West Delaware and club coach Jeff Voss says it is run similar to the high school meet so the young wrestlers get to experience state just like the older kids:

The kids have scheduled practices throughout the season and Voss likes the hard work the kids have put in to put themselves in position to qualify for state:
