Work recently started at the future site of the Edgewood Museum. Art Johnson, who is helping coordinate the project, says a group of about 25 volunteers spent a Saturday morning in January removing the old Edgewood Feed Mill’s interior walls in preparation for reconstruction.
Johnson says the Edgewood Museum Corporation is working with an architect to design a floor plan – that includes ideas for making it handicap-accessible, as well as utilizing the upper floor. But there’s still some fundraising to be done.
The goal is to be open in time for the community’s Rodeo Days celebration this summer.
If you’d like to donate to the Edgewood Museum project, you can mail your donation to the Edgewood Museum Corporation at PO Box 395 in Edgewood. Johnson says they continue to receive offers of historical items for the museum, and he suggests hanging onto those items until the building begins to take shape.
