Area scouts will be holding a food drive in Manchester and several other communities this Saturday, March 19th.
This past week, you may have found a hanger on your front door encouraging you to leave out non-perishable food and household items on Saturday morning. Manchester Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts will pick up the food and items and deliver them to the Delaware County Food Bank. Caleb Stocks, who is a member of Manchester Pack 35, hopes everyone will participate.
Stocks and fellow cub scouts Grant Northburg, Brock Northburg and Keegan Carnicle say this will be the first time their troop will be participate in this Annual Scouting for Food Drive fundraiser. It’s one of many service projects their troop does.
All four boys say they love the opportunity to be in Cub Scouts.
If you’d like to help the scouts with their food drive this weekend, just place your non-perishable food donations in a visible location outside your front door or by the base of your mailbox by 9 am this Saturday, March 19th and they’ll pick it up.
