HS Sports: Thursday 4-14 Results

The West Delaware boys track team hosted the Hawk Invitational last night in Manchester. Western Dubuque won the meet in convincing fashion with 154 team points which was 46.5 points better than second place Decorah. Rounding out the rest of the team scores:

The West Delaware girls track team won the Starmont girls invitational in Arlington on Thursday night. The Hawks finished with 162 points Maquoketa Valley was second with 129, Ed-Co was third with 126, Starmont finished in fourth with 69, and East Buchanan was seventh with 26 points. West Delaware head coach Doug Engel says he likes the improvement the team has made this early in the season:

On the golf course last night the West Delaware girls team finished third at Pine Creek Golf Course in Maquoketa. Solon won the meet with a 199, Maquoketa was second with a 241, and the Hawks shot a 248. Leading the way for the Hawks were Mariah Kleitsch and Ashley Goebel who both shot 57.

Coming up tonight the West Delaware boys golf team will host Mount Vernon at Pin Oak starting at 4:00. The boys soccer team will host Maquoketa at 5:15, and the Hawk girls soccer team will be in Maquoketa starting at 5:00.
