You may have noticed a new face at the M-REP Center over the past few months.
Holly Maurer took over the duties as the center’s director this spring, replacing Deb (Kintzle) Worm. Maurer is a Delhi native and tells KMCH she’s looking forward to building upon the center’s success.
The Manchester Regional Education Partnership center was an idea of Manchester’s Good to Great initiative that became a reality several years ago. The City collaborated with NICC and Upper Iowa to bring classes and continuing education opportunities to the Delaware County area so students can stay close to home. And the center keeps busy during the summer with camps. They held a “Going Buggy” camp last Friday, and will begin a couple of STEM classes yet this month.
Maurer says if you have ideas on what the MREP Center should offer to the community, they’re always willing to listen.
