Lake Delhi has been a busy place lately since the water returned, but it’s causing a bit of a parking problem at the Turtle Creek camping area.
That’s Delaware County Supervisor Shirley Helmrichs, who told her fellow board that she received a call Sunday afternoon letting her know that trucks and trailers were parking along 267th Street near the park – making it difficult and dangerous for other vehicles to drive through.
Delaware County Conservation worked hard to create new designated parking lots at Turtle Creek and she’s hoping the public takes advantage of those areas.
The County will post signs letting visitors know of the “no parking” zone near Turtle Creek Park. Effective immediately, parking will be prohibited along 267th Street from 220th Avenue to about a mile west.
