Longtime Manchester Mayor in “League” of His Own

Longtime Manchester Mayor Milt Kramer was surprised with quite the honor earlier this month.

While attending the Iowa League of Cities’ annual conference in Des Moines, Mayor Milt – as he is known around Manchester – was inducted into the League’s Hall of Fame.

Mayor Milt says he has been attending the conference for decades and never expected it.

His longevity is one of the reasons he earned a spot in the Iowa League of Cities’ Hall of Fame. Mayor Milt is longest serving mayor in Iowa. He’s led the city of Manchester for the past 42 years.

Not only does Mayor Milt know JUST about everyone in Manchester, but he’s well known around the state too… as a few people found out at the conference.

Former Ames Mayor Ann Campbell was also inducted into the Iowa League of Cities’ Hall of Fame.
