HS Football: Class A District Features Five Team Race

By Jon Swisher-Sports Director:

Class A district 4 has four KMCH area teams in it and three of those schools are technically still alive for playoff spots.

There are four teams tied in first place with 3-1 records with 3 games to play in the regular season. One of those teams is East Buchanan, based on the tiebreaker point system they sit in the second slot behind Wapsie Valley and ahead of Lisbon and Ed-Co. Third-year Bucs head coach Jerry Alden says his team still has one goal in mind and it is attainable:

The Buccaneers will travel to 0-4 Alburnett this week.

The North Linn Lynx at 2-2 still have a shot at the playoffs but several things will have to fall into place. Lynx head coach Jared Collum has impressed that mindset on his team:

The Lynx travel up to Edgewood to face Ed-Co Friday night.
