HS Volleyball: WaMaC Conference Tournament Underway

The West Delaware Hawks swept their three matches of the WaMaC conference tournament pool play last night in DeWitt. The Hawks surpassed Maquoketa, 21-11/21-13, South Tama 21-12/21-10 and Benton Community 21-12/21-19. Hawks head coach Brett Mather summed up the night in his post match interview:


The Class 3A 2nd-ranked Hawks improved to 38-3 and will travel to Mount Vernon to compete in the championship bracket of the tournament starting Thursday afternoon.

Western Dubuque and Independence also competed in DeWitt, the Bobcats finished 2-1 while Indee was 3-0 as they beat the Bobcats 2-0 in their final match.

At the other pool play site in Williamsburg, Beckman was 2-1 and Anamosa 0-3:
