For three weeks during the harvest season, we call a local farmer on their cell phone at 9:30 am and if they answer their phone by saying, “KMCH, Bring Me My Lunch”, then that’s exactly what we’ll do! We deliver them lunch for four from one of the local restaurants.
Congrats to Paul Schaul of Manchester (farming near the Delaware-Linn County line), our winner on the first try today! Paul has entered the contest for years, and today was the first time he won! KMCH’s Janelle Tucker delivered Paul four chicken dinners from Pizza Ranch in Manchester, along with some goodies from KMCH and Simon’s.
Thanks to Simon’s Grain and Feed in Manchester and Hopkinton for once again sponsoring this year’s contest, and thanks to these local restaurants for providing lunch to our farmers… Hardee’s, Dairy Queen, Pizza Ranch, Olive That Deli, Hart Ridge, Pin Oak, The Bread Basket, Cooper’s Place and Widner’s Ice Cream Parlor!
The contest ends Friday, but there’s still time for farmers to enter – just call or email us with your name and cell phone number!
Tune in to Mix 94.7 KMCH at 9:30 am each weekday to find out who our winning farmer will be with the “KMCH, Bring Me My Lunch” contest! And then listen to the 2 pm KMCH Markets to hear an interview with our winner, too! You can hear Paul’s interview by clicking below:
