Authorities Searching for Person of Interest in Hopkinton Bank Robbery

hopkintonbankrobbery2Delaware County authorities have released new information and photos regarding Friday’s bank robbery in Hopkinton.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who may have information about the robbery at Citizens State Bank. The person is a black male with dark hair and facial hair. He was seen in a dark-colored car believed to be a Lincoln MKZ or Mercury Zephyr. He and the vehicle are pictured in the photos in this article.



Authorities are still looking for the two suspects in the robbery. The Sheriff’s Office says two armed men walked into Citizens State Bank on First Street around 8:40 Friday morning wearing masks and dark colored clothing. They displayed a knife and a handgun before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash. The two males were described as black with average build and height around five-foot-seven or five-foot-eight. One of them was wearing a jacket with “Illinois” across the back.

No one was injured in Friday’s bank robbery. Bank President Audrey Savage tells KMCH the bank re-opened on Saturday.
