Manchester Conducting Fall Leaf Clean-up

fall leaf pickupYou may have noticed the rows of leaves along Manchester’s city streets the past couple of weeks…

It’s week three of the City’s Fall Leaf Clean-Up. City crews are picking up the leaves south of Butler Street on Mondays and from Butler to Union Street on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, they pick up leaves north of East Union Street to East Acers Street and from North Franklin Street to the east (that includes East Acers and both sides of North Franklin). And Thursday’s pickup includes the area north of West Union and west of North Franklin to Acers Street, plus all areas north to the city limits from Acers Street (but not including East Acers or West Union).

Crews are doing their best to stay as closed to that schedule as possible.

A reminder to Manchester residents to have your leaves in the street by 7 am on your scheduled pickup day, do not put sticks, twigs or garden debris with your leaves and do not park vehicles within 50 feet of those wind-rows.

Anyone who misses their pickup day can bring their leaves to the city compost site.
