Two Hopkinton Bank Robbers Arrested in Florida

jacksoncentenoThe two men accused of robbing a Hopkinton bank have been arrested in Florida.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety says 27-year old Daniel Jackson and 20-year old Jason Centeno, both of Yonkers, New York, were captured on Saturday in Daytona Beach.

The pair had walked into Citizens State Bank in Hopkinton on Friday, October 21st armed and wearing masks and dark-colored clothing. They stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

Through an investigation, authorities were able to identify the men as suspects and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office issued arrest warrants on Friday.

Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue found Jackson and Centeno in Florida on Saturday and they were taken into custody without incident. Both have been charged with First Degree Robbery and they are awaiting extradition back to Iowa.
