Klink Pleads Guilty in West Delaware School Bus Rollover

klinkAn Arlington man who collided with a West Delaware school bus last fall pleaded guilty in court Wednesday.

42-year old Monte Klink is charged with two counts of serious injury by vehicle and one count of operating while intoxicated second offense. Delaware County Attorney John Bernau tells KMCH that Klink pleaded guilty to all three counts during the morning hearing.

He’s also charged with failing to obey a yield sign and failing to provide proof of insurance. He will enter a plea on those simple misdemeanor traffic charges at his sentencing.

Klink was driving his SUV northeast of Manchester last October when he failed to yield at an intersection and struck a West Delaware school bus. The bus rolled from the impact of the crash. Over thirty students were on board the bus at the time, several of whom suffered serious injuries.

Bernau says Klink’s sentencing has been set for January 18th. He remains out of jail on bond.
