Drivers may have noticed a change in the speed limit on the southwest edge of Delaware.
The Delaware County Supervisors say they have received calls from concerned residents regarding the speed limit and traffic in that area. The section of road is 220th Street from the west city limits of Delaware to about two thousand feet west.
The County Engineer agrees there is a reason for concern due to the combination of heavy semi traffic, a couple of 90-degree corners and a residential area.
The County has dropped the speed limit on 220th Street in that area to 35 miles per hour.
