The Delaware County Board of Supervisors approved several resignations on Monday. Two full-time employees with the Secondary Roads Department will retire by the end of the year – Lonnie Fry has worked for the County for 41 years, while Ron Thole has been employed with the department for the past 15 years. Cody Hahesy, who worked as a seasonal roadside mowing operator, is also resigning.
In other news, the County is working on one of its final bridge projects for the year – the 265th Street Bridge. The road closed last week and crews are working on substructure details this week. The project should take about three weeks.
Also at Monday’s meeting, Delaware County Tourism officials gave the Board of Supervisors an annual update. Delaware County Tourism Director Janet Klostermann, who took over the position from Paula Hargrafen earlier this year, says it’s been a busy year with seven bus groups since April and a brand new logo now in place for Delaware County Tourism.
The Supervisors will hold their next meeting on November 28th.
