First Snow of Season for Iowa

It’s the first snow of the season for eastern Iowa.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire KMCH listening area, including Delaware, Dubuque, Buchanan, Jones, Linn, Clayton and Fayette counties. The advisory is in effect Sunday from 2 am to 3 pm.

The NWS says snow will begin around midnight and continue through late morning and afternoon on Sunday. A total of 2 to 4 inches is possible, with winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Slick travel is possible, along with reduced visibilities.
