Manchester Christmas Parade Helps Operation Santa Claus

Manchester’s Static Christmas Parade brought in a couple hundred dollars for Operation Santa Claus last Thursday night.

The annual event features decorated floats that sit on a downtown street during the holiday Window Walk. People were welcome to vote for their favorite float with a monetary donation, with all the money – a total of $264 – going to Operation Santa Claus.

Volunteer Pat Becker says the money raised helps provides area children with winter clothing, toys and other gifts. They handed out this year’s presents over the weekend. And she says there was a huge need this year.

Henderson’s received the most monetary donations of the parade entries and won first place. GNB won second place and the Delaware County Master Gardeners finished in third.
