Hospice of Comfort, a service of Regional Medical Center in Manchester, has offered comfort, love, and respect to those on their end-of-life journey for over 22 years. Hospice volunteers are a crucial piece of the compassionate and supportive services provided.
Carol Tutton of Delaware is being recognized as the 2016 Hospice of Comfort Volunteer of the Year. Tutton has been an active volunteer since 2007.
“Annually, we recognize a volunteer who best reflects the concept of volunteerism in its truest sense – serving as an inspiration to others. Carol has demonstrated commitment, responsibility, and has undergone personal growth as a hospice volunteer,” shared Pamela Agan, LMSW, Volunteer Coordinator. “On behalf of everyone at Hospice of Comfort and Regional Medical Center, we thank Carol for her dedication and compassionate care of our hospice clients.”
Hospice care helps terminally ill individuals and their families make the most of each hour and each day by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support before, during, and following the individual’s death.
