The Luther Softball program finished last season as the 10th-ranked team in the country as the Norse have now been ranked in the Top-25 for 39 consecutive weeks and 99 of the last 102 weeks dating back to 2009. During the 2016 campaign, Luther was 40-5 and captured its fifth Iowa Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA III National Tournament for an eighth consecutive year, ninth time in the past 10 years, and 17th time in school history. The Norse claimed the title of the Decorah Regional, the eighth time they have been crowned regional champions in school history. The signing took place in the Commons of WDHS, along with Georgen were her parents John and Stephanie, family, friends, teammates and Hawks head coach Tiffany Rave.
