The High School Boys Basketball postseason resumes tonight with Class 1A and 3A district finals. Our two featured teams from KMCH Sports will have the top teams in both classes and 2 of only 4 undefeated teams remaining in the state. The Class 3A 22-0 West Delaware Hawks will host 12-10 Vinton-Shellsburg inside Seedorff Gymnasium. The two WaMaC conference teams did not play this season but did meet last season on Dec. 4th, 2015 as the Hawks won 50-37 in Manchester. Hawks head coach Matt Uthoff knows the Vikings will present a challenge and his team will have to be ready right from the start:
The Hawks will be competing in their 2nd district final in a row and looking for the 8th district title and 8th substate contest appearance since 1998 in school program history, first since 2008. The winner of the game will take on the winner of Marion at Center Point-Urbana. All the coverage live on KMCH and KMCH.com with Bill Logan and Corey Coates beginning around 6:50pm.
The 23-0 North Linn Lynx will travel to Maquoketa to face 18-5 Clinton Prince of Peace. The Tri-Rivers Conference schools met back on Dec. 20th in Clinton with North Linn winning 81-67, it ended out being the closest game the Lynx would have all season.
