Soules’ written plea filed on Tuesday requests that a trial date be set as soon as possible.
Soules is accused of rear-ending a tractor on a Buchanan County road near Aurora in late April. The tractor’s driver, Kenneth Mosher of Aurora, died from his injuries.
A released 911 recording reveals that Soules called 911 and stayed at the scene in attempt to help Mosher. However, he left before authorities arrived. When deputies went to his home, he refused to come to the door, requiring the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office to obtain an arrest warrant. Once the warrant was presented, he was taken into custody without incident.
