Earlville Woman Faces Felony Charge for Fraudulent Use of EAA Funds

An Earlville woman has been charged after a state investigation into the finances of the Earlville Athletic Association.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year old Kimberly Snyder faces a felony charge of Second Degree Fraudulent Practice. Snyder served as the Earlville Athletic Association’s treasurer.

The Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from members of the Earlville Athletic Association concerning the amount of the association’s fund balance. The State Auditor’s Office and Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation, with the State Auditor releasing a report on that investigation earlier Wednesday.

The investigation revealed that Snyder made numerous unauthorized disbursements totaling over eight-thousand dollars between 2011 and 2016. The disbursements were made for personal expenses including loan payments, merchandise, electric utilities, food and beverages.

Snyder has posted bond at the Delaware County Jail.
