Four Arrested in Fayette County Meth Bust

Four people were arrested during a meth bust in Fayette County Monday.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says authorities executed a search warrant at a home at 401 West Water Street in Fayette.

A search of the home turned up methamphetamine, several stolen guns, over 15-hundred dollars in cash from the sale of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

Four people were arrested, including: Joshua Glen Sargent, age 33, a resident at the mentioned home, was arrested and charged with being a Felon in Control of a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Jesus Vargas, age 36, a Postville resident, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (his 2013 Dodge Pick-Up was impounded and towed from the scene); Marva Kay Seeders, age 60, of Milford, IA was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (her 2016 Pontiac sedan was impounded and towed from the scene); and Cynthia Caroline Robertson, age 41, a resident of Bristol TN, was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

This is an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected.
