Between 20 to 30 trees were reported down across town after 50 to 60 mile per hour winds moved through. Residents say there was little to no warning of the storm.
The community worked together to get the storm damage cleaned up Wednesday night and Thursday.
Storms also hit Monticello and Anamosa, bringing power outages, high winds and heavy rain.
And brief funnel clouds were spotted across eastern Iowa, including in Delaware County. Weather officials say those types of funnel clouds rarely touch down and cause damage.
More storms are possible tonight – the National Weather Service some could be strong to severe, with large hail, high winds and heavy rain the biggest threats. Keep it tuned to KMCH – we’ll let you know if any watches or warnings are issued.
