A state disaster proclamation has been issued for Dubuque County.
Governor Reynolds issued the proclamation Tuesday in response to last weekend’s severe weather and flash flooding.
The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized and it also activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Program for qualifying Dubuque County residents.
The Iowa Individual Assistance Program provides grants up to five-thousand dollars for households with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level or a maximum annual income of about 40-thousand dollars for a family of three.
Grants are also available for car or home repairs, clothing or food replacement and temporary housing expenses.
The grant applications are available on the Iowa Department of Human Services website.
State disaster proclamations have also been issued this past week for Clayton, Fayette and Buchanan counties.
