Update on Delaware County Road and Bridge Projects

Crews are hoping to work on the Quaker Mill Dam project this week. Delaware County Engineer Anthony Bardgett says Top Grade Excavating did not start last week like anticipated due to the wet weather. They’re hoping to begin cutting a channel through the pond area sometime this week.

Over on the 220th Avenue Bridge Project, Taylor Construction has completed all the bridge construction. Remaining work includes road slope shaping, rip-rapping and seeding.

195th Street (also known as D-13) closed Monday for work on the bridge approaches. The road will remain closed for the majority of the week. Asphalt work is expected to start in a few weeks.

Crews are planning to start work on replacing the bridge on Hardscrabble Road this week.

And Bardgett says crews are working this week on applying the Base One product to stabilize the gravel on 180th Avenue.
