The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office now has a permanent medication drop-off box located outside their main entrance.
Anyone wanting to dispose of unused prescription drugs can do so by dropping the container into the box. It’s available to the public 24 hours a day.
A couple of things to keep in mind – all medications should be placed in a sealed non-breakable container and there is a request for no “sharps” such as syringes that could injure the Sheriff’s Office staff servicing the drop box.
The drop box is made possible thanks to a small grant from the Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
