Second Year for Hero Hustle Triathlon

The Hero Hustle Triathlon is this Sunday in Manchester.

City Parks and Rec Director Doug Foley says they’re looking forward to a great race.

This is the second year for the Hero Hustle, which is a fundraiser for law enforcement, EMS and fire departments across Delaware County.

And there will even be some teams made up of local heroes – the first hero team that crosses the line wins 500 dollars for their department.

If you’d like to support the cause, but don’t want to race, you can be a “Ghost Runner”. Ghost Runners get a t-shirt for twenty-five bucks. Foley says the athletes would love to have people come and cheer them on.

If you are headed out to watch, please come before 9 am so Schram Drive is clear of vehicles by the time the Hero Hustle starts. If you will be coming and going during the event, you’re asked to park somewhere else and walk to Schram Park.
