Governor Reynolds Visits Henderson Products in Manchester

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was in Manchester on Wednesday to visit Henderson Products.

Henderson’s is a custom manufacturer of work truck equipment that employs about 325 people across the state.

The governor and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg toured the manufacturing facility on South Third Street and addressed local leaders and Henderson’s employees, taking a few moments to answer questions from a couple of the workers as well.

Governor Reynolds told KMCH she was very impressed with Henderson’s operations – most notably their partnership with the West Delaware welding program.

Reynolds says they are working on rolling out an initiative called Future Ready Iowa in January.

Henderson Products President Jon Sievert says they appreciated the opportunity to host the governor.

Wednesday’s visit to Manchester was part of Governor Reynold’s 99 county tour. Her schedule of visits today include Pikes Peak State Park in McGregor, the Allamakee-Clayton Electric Cooperative in Postville, City Laundering in Oelwein and Geater Machining and Manufacturing in Independence.
