The deadline has been extended for adding veterans’ names to the new veterans’ memorial in Delaware County.
The names were due by last Friday, but organizer Dr. John Tyrrell says they found out they have a little more time now.
The new veterans’ memorial will be located in the southeast corner of Baum Park in Manchester. A $100 contribution qualifies you as a supporter of the memorial and allows you to be recognized on a granite paver in the memorial plaza. For an additional $50 donation, you can recognize the name of one service man or woman. If you would like to honor more than one veteran, it’s an additional $50 contribution per name.
If you are interested in making a donation to have a veteran’s name etched into the memorial, contact Barb Topping at Community Savings Bank.
It’s important to note – veterans’ names can still be added anytime after the September 15th deadline, but they must be in by that date if you want them included in time for the memorial’s November 11th dedication.
