Larry Dean “Lace” Rotach, 69, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday September 5, 2017, at hospice in the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. He was born on May 9, 1948, in Manchester, the son of John and Elizabeth (Frantzen) Rotach.
Larry graduated from West Delaware High School in 1966 and served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Roseanne Spaight. The couple later divorced. Larry was a construction inspector at AECOM, an engineering firm out of Waterloo, for 34 years, working on highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
Larry enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and dune buggy and attending stock car races. He was a loyal West Delaware Hawk fan. Larry particularly loved visiting his mother and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include Larry’s mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Rotach of Manchester; two brothers, Bob (Julie) Rotach of Waukon and Dan (Judy) Rotach of Forest Lake, Minnesota; his sister, Sheryl (Rick) Harbaugh of Manchester; five nieces and nephews, John Rotach, Beth Rotach-Mullin, Carise Rotach-Beard, Caleb Rotach, and Megan Harbaugh; and five great-nieces and -nephews, Lilly Rotach, Ian Rotach, June Mullin, Mabel Mullin, and Cash Michael Beard.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, John Rotach.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, with Reverend Dan Rotach officiating.
Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Inurnment With Military Rites: Oakland Cemetery – Manchester, Iowa
Celebration of Life: Immediately following inurnment at the Hart Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse, Manchester.
