HS FOOTBALL: Week 3 Preview

By Jon Swisher-Sports Director:

The High School Football season is in week number three with a majority of schools around the state beginning district play. Our KMCH Sports featured game tonight is of course West Delaware hosting Davenport Assumption. Hawks head coach Doug Winkowitsch says a refreshed mindset this week hopefully has his team focused and ready for district competition:

Both teams are 1-1, the Knights beat North Scott at home and fell on the road last week to Bettendorf. The Hawks won the first meeting ever between the two schools in Football last season, 39-22 in Davenport. Coach Wink believes it will be a challenging district opening contest:

All the Hawks coverage begins with the WD Football pregame showing this evening around 6:45. Sports Director Jon Swisher will be joined by coach Winkowitsch, then Jamie, Aaron and Bill will have all the action from Brown Field with a kick-off slated for 7:15pm

Our Area Online and Playback Game of the week comes from West Union as 2-0 Cascade travels to face 0-2 North Fayette-Valley. Kevin Schuchmann and Dan McClean will have the call live on KMCH.com and played back after the WD game.
