Four People Injured in Fayette County Motorcycle Accident

Four people were injured in a motorcycle accident in Fayette County over the weekend.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on Highway 18 a couple miles west of West Union Saturday night.

They say a group of motorcycles were heading west when a deer ran onto the road and into the front tire of one of the motorcycles. It caused that motorcycle to veer into the path of another motorcycle.

Both drivers and passengers were thrown from the motorcycles, including Chad Brickman, April Washburn, Benjamin Tickal and Katherine Tickal, all of Waterloo. Authorities say they suffered critical injuries and were taken to Palmer Hospital in West Union before being airlifted to Waterloo.
