Candidates Announced for City Elections in Delaware County

The candidates have been announced for this November’s city elections.

Here’s a look at who is running in Delaware County…

Longtime Manchester mayor Milt Kramer is running for re-election unopposed. Two Manchester city council seats are also up for election. Doug Hawker is challenging current council member Ron Struble for the At-Large seat, and incumbent Mary Ann Poynor is running unopposed for the 2nd Ward position.

In Delhi, Greg Preussner is running unopposed for mayor. Delhi also has six candidates running for three open city council seats – incumbents Shawn Wilson and Rick Bojorquez, as well as Susan Luensmann, Sherri Noonan, Rosanne Downs and Craig Davis.

Colesburg has two open city council positions, with one candidate running – incumbent Tom Forkenbrock. Rex Meyer is running unopposed for Colesburg mayor.

In Delaware, there are five open city council spots, with three candidates running – incumbent Richard Lahr, incumbent Lonny Fishler and Burton Davis. Harlan Bond is running for re-election as Delaware mayor.

Dundee has two candidates running for the two open city council seats – incumbent Glenn Puffett and Tom Gibbs. Barb Robinson is running for another term as Dundee mayor.

In Earlville, there are three open positions on the city council. Incumbent Shannon Richardson is the only candidate. Earlville mayor Dan Wheeler is running unopposed for another term.

Edgewood has three candidates for their three open city council seats – incumbent Steven Lange, Jason Sullivan and Kirby Kendrick. Edgewood mayor James Stone is running for another term with no challengers.

In Greeley, two candidates are running for the three available spots on city council – incumbents Kimberly Goranson and Mike Schmitz. David Kruse is running for re-election as Greeley Mayor unopposed.

Hopkinton has two open city council spots, with two incumbents running again – Julie Davis and Janet Buckner. There is also a city council term that needs to be filled due to a vacancy – Catherine Book is running for that position. And Hopkinton mayor Cathy Harris is running unopposed for another term.

In Masonville, three incumbents are hoping to keep their three open city council seats – Jerry Alden, Charles Rettinger and Nellie Marting. Masonville mayor Bill Alden is also running unopposed.

And in Ryan, there are three candidates who have filed to run for the three open city council seats – incumbent Wade Feldmann, incumbent Delores Kolka and Richard Gaffney. Mike Corcoran is running for re-election as Ryan mayor.

City elections are Tuesday, November 7th.
