The new CEO and Administrator at the Good Neighbor Society in Manchester has enjoyed his first couple months on the job.
Matt Carpenter was hired this summer, starting his new position in late August.
Carpenter is no stranger to Manchester. He grew up here, graduating from West Delaware in 2000 before leaving the community to attend college.
Carpenter has served in Administrator/Executive Director roles in the long-term care business for the past eleven years. He actually got his foot in the door back in high school working at The Meadows as a universal worker. And all these years later, he says the team at the Good Neighbor Society continues to impress him.
Over the years, the Good Neighbor Society has grown into more than just a care center.
Carpenter says he’s excited to be back in his hometown and looks forward to getting more involved.
Carpenter replaces Rick Colby, who resigned this summer. Alan Campbell filled in as the Interim Administrator for a short time during the hiring process.
