Clayton County Man Arrested for Burglary and Assault

A Clayton County man has been arrested on burglary and assault charges.

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office says 33-year old Christopher Junk of Monona allegedly forcefully entered a home on Keystone Road during the early morning hours on September 17th. He assaulted a male and female before running away when authorities arrived.

Deputies arrived to find the male with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated.

A warrant was issued for Junk’s arrest and he was taken into custody after turning himself into law enforcement last week. Junk faces charges of First Degree Burglary, Willful Injury, First Degree Harassment, Domestic Abuse Assault and Violation of a No Contact Order.
