The Manchester City Council has officially accepted the work done on this year’s Street Improvement Project.
This year’s project included water and sewer main replacement, storm sewer installation and asphalt paving on the southwest side of Manchester, including south of West Main Street, north of West Marion Street, east of South 9th Street and west of South 5th Street.
Work got underway in March and wrapped up by mid-August.
The final construction cost came in at one-point-three million dollars – lower than the engineer’s estimate of one-point-four million.
The City Council also adopted the project’s final assessment schedule.
